"Mud cloth" is one of local wisdoms from generation to generation in Sikorapoom District, Surin. This simple wisdom is the fantastic mix of soil and cloth, becoming attractive product of "Tie-dyed Silk Association". Lotus mud silk is soft, glossy, light, and easy to dry. Mud also promotes durability of natural color. The Association applies fortune flowers in dying process such as marigold, Indian Laburnum, jackfruit heart wood, peel of star gooseberry, tamarind seed, lac etc. Design of nature is applied to create distinctive patterns that illustrate design of Indian Laburnum, Mimusops Elengi, coconut flower : Surin Province.
